Job Brief
We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering and system management. You will play a critical role in building functional systems, deploying product updates, resolving production issues, and implementing customer-focused integrations.
Your expertise in automation, scripting, and system design will ensure operational processes are executed securely, accurately, and efficiently. If you have a strong background in Ruby or Python, along with experience in database management, we want to meet you.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage integrations requested by customers to enhance system functionality.
- Deploy product updates, bug fixes, and other changes with minimal downtime.
- Provide Level 2 technical support, effectively addressing customer and operational issues.
- Build tools and scripts to reduce error rates and improve the overall customer experience.
- Develop software solutions that integrate seamlessly with internal back-end systems.
- Perform root cause analyses to identify and address production errors and bottlenecks.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues across systems and platforms.
- Automate routine tasks, including system monitoring, visualization, and reporting, using custom scripts.
- Design and implement reliable procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar software engineering role, with at least 7 years in the field.
- Strong proficiency in Ruby or Python for scripting and software development.
- In-depth knowledge of databases and SQL, including optimization techniques.
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Solid understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a problem-solving attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
