Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of work experience to lead cloud-based projects, focusing on AWS environments and distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, deploying, and maintaining robust, scalable cloud applications and managing production environments.
You will work with a team of talented professionals to architect and optimize our cloud infrastructure, drive automation, and implement best practices for DevOps and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS Cloud Environments, including ElastiCache services and clusters on Linux operating systems.
- Automate operational processes using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Onboard, integrate, and maintain AWS services to enhance system capabilities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot large-scale distributed systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement DevOps and GitOps models with tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, JFrog, and Artifactory.
- Plan and execute cloud migrations, capacity planning, and resource scaling.
- Optimize cloud operations using modern monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace).
- Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines for application development and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate third-party ecosystems and improve cloud platform capabilities.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
- 4+ years of expertise in autoscaling application architecture in AWS Cloud Environments.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux-based infrastructure.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, and Python.
- Advanced knowledge of microservices, mesh routing, and sidecars.
- Strong experience with cloud-native technologies and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- AWS certification and proven expertise in cloud operations and support.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills:
- Certifications in RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, or other cloud platforms (Azure/GCP).
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, Redis, or CockroachDB.
- In-depth understanding of structured and unstructured data storage.
- Strong background in performance tuning and diagnostics for cloud environments.
